Dr. Takuji Shirasawa is an Anti-Aging practitioner at Ochanomizu Longevity & Health Clinic, director and researcher at Shirasawa Anti-aging Medical Institute. He previously taught Aging Control Medicine at Juntendo University, Graduate school of Medicine in Japan. He obtained his Ph.D. in immunology at Chiba University Graduate School of Medicine and has been researching molecular pathology and the molecular genetics of gerontology for the past 25 years.

His personal interests are molecular biology of aging and gerontology, molecular genetics of Alzheimer's Disease, analysis of Athletic Gene, Stem Cell research, Telomere research, Ketogenic Diet and is dedicated to identifying and addressing the root causes of chronic illness such as diabetes through a groundbreaking whole-systems of diet and medicine approach called Functional Medicine. Through his practice, education efforts, writing, research, and advocacy, he empowers people to start treating the underlying causes of illness versus only managing symptoms.

He is regarded as one of Japan's top specialists in preventive medicine for aging and has written over 300 books becoming the most popular and published doctor in Japan. Over 2 million copies of his books have been sold in Japan and many books have been translated and published abroad. He is carrying medical columns in Japanese mainstream media such as newspapers and magazines, has his own radio programs and often appears on TV on medical programs and documentaries.

Liaison Office

The main objective of the Liaison Office of the Shirasawa Anti-Aging Medical Institute (SAMI) is the undertaking of every required action and initiative aiming at the promotion and dissemination of results of the scientific research carried out in the Shirasawa Anti-Aging Medical Institute, in the form either of new knowledge or of specific products development, networking, book collaboration, article collaboration, conferences and seminars within and outside Japan.
